  • Training Objectives

    The participants will be exposed to the scientific examination and analysis of data from computer storage media for the purpose of presentation in a court of law. The training program includes the presentation of case studies and demonstration.

    The course will cover computer crime, and computer forensics techniques which are used to obtain evidence that are acceptable in the court of law. Theory and hands-on will be covered in the training. Throughout the course, the evidential integrity and continuity is stressed out along with the need to have proper records of all actions taken.

Participants are required to have a basic knowledge in computer.

    • Training Contents

Below are the topics that will be discussed in the training:

Identifying Computer Crime
To understand different categories of computer crimes, computer related crimes and computer misuse, and how computer and electronics evidence play a major role in most investigations.

What is Computer Forensics and its Challenges
To understand further about computer forensics and its challenges towards new and rapid technology growth. The challenge will become more complex due to the fact that the current and future improved and advanced lifestyles will contribute to more sophisticated and obscure techniques in committing crimes.

Investigations Rules & Policies
To have better understanding on the goals, rules and procedures involved in conducting computer forensic investigation.

Crime Scene Analysis
To prepare the computer forensic investigators with procedures prior to conducting crime scene analysis.

Evidence Seizure
To present the method of seizing the evidence at crime scene and handling the evidence.

Evidence Analysis
To enable participants to understand the processes involved in conducting analysis on evidences based on identifying contents relevant to the case without compromising the integrity of the original information.

Morning sessions run from 9.00am until 1.00pm.
Afternoon sessions run from 2.00pm until 5.00pm

The standard charge for this training is RM599 per participant. However, the following groups/organizations are entitled discount as shown below:
